CYVR Project FAQ
25/06/2009
Hello All-
To clear up some questions I’m frequently asked about my CYVR project, I have prepared a small list of FAQs, which can be found below. More new CYVR info to come soon!
-Jonathan G.
Will the project be for FS9, FSX or both?
The project is for FS9, but I am planning to release an FSX version shortly after the release of the FS9 version. My priority in scenery design is FS9 for the foreseeable future, so this will apply to any other projects in the works.
When will CYVR be released?
The Scenery is more than likely to be released in 2010.
Will it be compatible with FsAddon’s Vancouver+?
I have been in contact with Jon Patch and the Vancouver+ team and we are planning to make the sceneries compatible. I’ll update you when there is more information on that.
Just what will CYVR include?
My CYVR project will include all of Sea Island in great detail, including major bridges, Iona Island and the log jams along SW Marine Dr. All airport buildings are rendered in great detail and accuracy and the project will include photorealistic ground textures (ground, taxiways, runways, aprons etc).
Will there be AES support?
I will be contacting Oliver Pabst closer to the end of development to obtain AES support for CYVR.
Will the project be freeware or payware?
The project will be freeware. I feel I have no right to charge for something people in the FS community rightfully deserve, especially considering what I have gained from the FS community over the years.
If you have any more question, please feel free to comment on my blog, email or msg me any time. I will be happy to answer your questions and will add popular ones to this FAQs post.
